Middlesex University, with its main hub in Hendon, North London, champions a personalised approach to learning and research. The university  experiential education, equipping students with life-long skills to excel in an ever-evolving world. The university boasts a diverse student body, exceeding 19,000 in London and 37,000 globally, with additional campuses in Dubai, Mauritius, and Malta.


The Need for MDX Minds:

Middlesex University aspired to introduce MDX Minds, an online platform that would serve as a hub for its campus experts to disseminate research and thought-provoking news to the public. Given the geographic distribution of experts across various campuses, the platform needed to be user-friendly with minimal training, enabling swift content deployment. All content on the platform was to be authored by individuals directly associated with Middlesex University or in partnership with it, ensuring content relevance and precision.

- Platform Structure Visualisation: Wireframes were employed to illustrate the envisioned platform structure visually, aiding in creating a tangible framework.

- Framework and CMS Selection: The proposed framework and content management system (CMS), WordPress, were mutually agreed upon for their customisability and popularity.

- Design and Branding: Kingly Agency designed the platform's interface and branding, adhering to Middlesex University's brand guidelines while infusing creativity.

- Tailored Content Portal: Kingly Agency developed MDX Minds using WordPress, fine-tuning it to align with Middlesex University's distinct requirements.

- Authoring Empowerment: The platform granted all content creators editor access, facilitating seamless creation of news, articles, and inspiring narratives.

- Thoughtful Categorisation: Seven pertinent categories catering to students' interests were established. Editors had the capability to spotlight content on the home page and curate top stories within each category.

- Social Integration and Automation: Integration with major social media platforms facilitated content sharing, and the platform intelligently displayed most-read posts.
